Venezianico was founded in 2017 by the young Zanin brothers, Alberto and Alessandro, in the Venice region, building on their family's watch component background to create an Italian brand celebrating Venetian maritime heritage. The name and every collection reference the lagoon city: the Nereide diver after sea nymphs, the Redentore dress line after the Venetian festival, and the Arsenale after the republic's legendary shipyard.
The brand grew rapidly through direct sales and Italian design confidence, offering Swiss and Japanese powered watches with above segment casework: the Nereide GMT with Venetian glass inspired dials and the Ultraleggero with an openworked ultralight construction drew international enthusiast attention. Venezianico positions itself as accessible Italian design horology, manufacturing components partly through the family's Italian facilities.
Venezianico's signature is material romance: dials evoking lagoon water, Murano adjacent glass textures, bronze cases, and the winged lion of Saint Mark appearing across the catalog. Movements include Seiko NH35 derivatives, Sellita, and La Joux-Perret calibers in premium models.
Prices run roughly 400 to 2,500 dollars.
